Can someone help me? I was given a pair of Rincon glasses, but I've had issues with the lenses; they seem to be of low quality and appear to have lost their UV protection. Please take a look at the attached photos.

Horrible Brand, that does not value its customers!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Spent about $19,000 over 27 years on Ray-Ban products.
  • - Warranty issues with peeling lenses and frames; no refunds or fixes.

After spending an estimated $19,000 over the past 27 years on myself and my family for Ray-Ban sunglasses/eyeglasses, I am done! I will not spend one more dime and I regret ever giving this disgusting company any of my money.

If I could go back and take back all my money, I gave this low-rent brand I would. The truth is Ray-Brand and its owner, Luxottica Group, are a bunch of conmen that look at its customers as marks, suckers, rubes, etc. They do not give a damn about their customers, they do not care about me, and they do not care about you. They do not care if you're a short-term customer or a long-term customer such as me.

All they want and care about is your money. Once they get your money, you might as well die, because to them that's all youre good for. Once they get your money, they are done with you. Customer service?

Ha-Ha, a joke. It's literally nonexistent: Chat Support? It's a joke. Phone support?

Even a bigger joke. They know nothing and do not care to know! Want to get a hold of them over the week? Nope!

No phone or chat support available, you're on your own! Email support? The biggest joke of them all! Email support is so bad and useless, you will start thinking you're talking to AI bots.

All you get are lies, broken promises, and the standard copy/paste messages they send to everyone else. Why? They are just stupid, lazy and honestly just do not care enough to respond directly to your problems and try to resolve them. They got your money, so they are done with you.

Have problems with your frames, lenses etc. while under warranty? They do not care! Ray-Bans warranty is just another online Ponzi scheme!

It's all a gimmick to sucker in people like me to buy their overpriced crap! They will not fix, replace or even refund your money. They will just lie, distort, and blame others while they continue to steal your money and refuse to honor their own warranty.

If you want to know why I hate this brand after being a customer for the past 27 years heres, why! On 4/19/24 I bought the "CORRIGAN BIO-BASED model.

Shiny Black with prescription sunglasses locally (at Mountain View Associates Eye Care in Altoona PA) for $815.25. The store is an authorized retailer for Ray-Ban. I paid full price because I do not have any eye insurance. As soon as I got them various problems happened, the screw came loose on the right side.

They fixed it. No big deal. Next, the other screw on the outside almost came out, and was fixed again. Two months later the logo on the right-side arm is already fading/peeling.

Almost five months later the left side lenses are peeling/discoloration inside part. I do not abuse my glasses or use any harsh chemicals in cleaning them. This is the first time ever in 27 years I had any problems with any Ray-Ban sunglasses or Ray-Bran eye prescription frames/lenses.

I was told by Mountain View Associates (authorized dealer) to contact Ray-Ban. Ray-Ban told me to have the authorized store fix the problems.

During this timeframe, customer support through Ray-Ban was horrible! No customer support on the weekends. Chat and phone support is useless! As for the email support, I had to send 15 emails over the course of two weeks till finally someone at Ray-Ban responded!

Anytime these "robot" customer service agents responded, they would always give me different answers. They also told me to send pictures, which I did, and told me the glasses are still under warranty. (I already knew that). Then they told me the lenses (the most important and expensive part) are not covered under the Ray-Ban warranty!

Really? For the next several months, I went back and forth with emails, phone calls, etc. Both the authorized Ray-Ban retailer and Ray-Ban refuse to honor the warranty and fix the peeling lenses and peel frames! The frames have been peeling since 6/2024 and the lenses since 11/2024.

As of the date of this complaint, 6/2025, neither the frames or lenses have been replaced nor has my money in the amount of $815.25 been refunded! Till this day I can not use these glasses that I paid $815.25 for!

Four weeks ago, again, I tried to resolve this matter with Ray-Ban, again their phone and chat support is completely useless! So, I tried emailing them again Three weeks and 31 emails later Ray-Ban refuses to resolve these problems! They refuse to honor the warranty on the lenses, because they blame their authorized seller.

Again, the authorized seller blames Ray-Ban. Neither company will take ownership and resolve this problem! Again, as of the date of this complaint the lenses are still peeling, and the glasses are unwearable! As for the frames which are still under the Ray-Ban warranty along with these lenses, well the frames havent been replaced either.

Nor has money been refunded for these peeling frames!! Nothing has been fixed, resolved or refunded to me as it relates to these problems. Why? Because no one gives a damn.

It also needs to be noted during all my conversations with Ray-Ban not one person ever apologized to me regarding these problems. Not once! Not over the phone, website chat and especially not by email. Because of any email conversation with Luxottica after sales email or Ray-Ban Customer care email you get some of the most loathsome, uncaring individuals imaginable.

They do not give a damn about you; they cant be bothered to answer your questions or even care enough to send you a personalized email directed to the customer. It's so obvious that every email they send is a copy/paste email response they are given to send to all the suckers that are dumb enough to buy their over-priced crap.

Almost three weeks ago, one of their alleged supervisors with this unethical company said they were finally resolving my problems. I said good! They said she was authorized to give me a 50 percent coupon off my next order!?

I said what about the $815.25 in these glasses I

currently have. I was told sorry we cannot fix the lenses! You must contact the authorized retailer, when again, for the 200th time, I tell Ray-Ban that the authorized seller said they are not responsible for them, that the warranty has to go through Ray-Ban. What do I get from Ray-Ban?

Nothing, just silence. I said what about the peeling, $250 Ray-Ban frames that are still under the Ray-Ban warranty?! What do I get from Ray-Ban!? Nothing!

Still, nothing has been done to replace the lenses, replace the frames or just refund the money that Ray-Ban and their authorized seller stole from me! After all the money I spent over the years and all the aggravation over the last year with these problems with my current glasses, Ray-Ban offered me a measly 50 percent coupon code. Clearly, I am not happy! Have someone steal $825.15 from you and offer you a stupid discount code and act like somehow that fixes everything.

Ray-Ban steals money from me and then expects me to spend even more money on their website with this coupon code. Ha. So, what I can have more money stolen from me by Ray-Ban? Oh, and it gets worse.

I went to Ray-Ban's website and tried this 50 percent coupon code and, guess what? Its a fraud and a gimmick just like their warranty! Now where I live, which is reality, 50 percent off is half price! For example, if a product costs $800 and you get half off the price, which is 50 percent, the new price would be $400, which is half of $800!!

Well not with fraudulent, false advertising company.

Every product I added to my cart with this fake discount code. Every product, whether it was mens or female eyeglasses, random sunglasses, the code gave me almost 10 percent off!! 10 percent! Not 50 percent but barely 10 percent!!

When I compare the price of any product without the coupon code and then add the coupon code, I save almost 10 percent!!! Why? Because when adding this fake 50 percent coupon, Ray-Ban nearly doubles the price of any product in the cart! Its almost double the price!!

So, it seems like you are getting 50 percent off, when in fact you arent. I tried this coupon code for the last three weeks and for the past three weeks it has been doing the same thing. Its just another online scam, from this disgusting false advertising criminal enterprise

As of the date of this complaint, nothing has been resolved: no new frames, no new lenses, no refund of the $825.15 that was stolen from me. Nothing!

I didnt even get a legitimate 50 percent coupon code! I got nothing from Ray-Ban after being a loyal customer for 27 years! Nothing! Not even an apology!

If this company had any kind of ethics or morals, they would have refunded the $825.15 they stole from me. *** they could have said, "we are sorry" and here is a $400 gift card to use with Ray-Ban or any brand owned by Luxottica. Would I have been 100 percent with that? No, because I still would have lost $425.15.

But anything would have been better than what they gave me, which is nothing!!! Nothing, no apology, no credit, no refund, no replacement lenses or frames, not even a legitimate coupon code. Because of this I will never spend one more cent with this lying, thieving company again. They way these cheated, lied and screwed me around here for 6 months, I wish could get back the estimated $19,000 back I spent over the last 27 years.

If I could take it all back I would just to screw with this fraudulent company, because honestly, they deserved payback for stealing my money, screwing me over and treating me they way the did.

After looking at all the online complaints with various websites including the Better Business Bureau, I see a lot of unhappy people that have been screwed by Ray-Brand and its owner, Luxottica Group. Buyers beware of this unethical and fraudulent company.

Thank you for sharing this information. Me and my granddaughters glasses are not working for no legitimate reason.

I am suspecting that the battery within the frame is dead. I have not received a prompt response from this company.

Wrong replacements

AI Highlights
  • - Replacement aviator lenses ordered but not received.
  • - A new set arrived but the size was wrong and care gave the runaround.

I ordered a pair of replacement lenses for my aviator glasses because I no longer need a prescription. I put the model size, and apparently, they were sent to me, but I never got them.

I called Luxottica, and a new set was sent, but it's the wrong size. I have been trying to get them returned and get the right size, but it's impossible. I went to the store, and they gave me a number for customer care, and they just gave me the runaround.

Am I supposed to call my bank and have them collect reimbursement? I don't want to do that; I need the replacements.

The website that Luxottica has in place only handles claims and replacement parts. My order was never delivered by UPS, but 'lost delivery' is not one of Luxottica's options in their scripted menus.

Meta glasses

AI Highlights
  • - Nose piece is coming off and scratched my nose.
  • - Replacement offered other glasses, not the Wayfarer Gen 2, while the site shows Gen 2 available.

I purchased my Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 2 a month ago, and the nose piece is coming off and it scratched my nose. I put in a request with *** to get the glasses replaced, and they gave me a selection of other glasses, not the ones I purchased.

They told me they didn't have any of the Wayfarer Gen 2 left. I went onto the site, and they had them there. I spent $400 on these glasses and wear them normally with no strenuous activity. There's no reason for them to be falling apart already and not be replaced.

This is also the 3rd pair I have purchased; the other 2, one for my son and one for my wife, so I have spent over $1000 and should be treated as a valued customer, not just written off. This is a multi-million dollar corporation, and there is no excuse for how this situation is being handled whatsoever.

Cons:
  • Customer service chat messaging fills you with im sorry and falls promises and do not fulfill what they say in the chat everytime i go to chat with a live agent on the phone they give me only options to message chat and that is not right because they kept

Preferred solution: Replacement glasses. Wayfarer gen 2 like I originally purchased, not other selections.
